Data: Pen name: Chosetsu, Ian-so. Dharma transmission from Daizui Genki who was a Dharma heir of Kosen Shoton. He also practiced Zen under Eichu Genken in Nanzen-ji, Zen Rinzai and moved to the Obaku Sect. He became the 9th abbot of Bukkoku-ji in 1716. He was believed devoutly by the Konoe family. He was on friendly terms with the Emperor, court nobles and other highly-educated men.
