Temple: Kitahosso-shu branch. The ex-chief abbot of Kiyomizu-dera, Kyoto. Kofuku-ji, Nara.

Data: Pen name; Gomei. He became the chief abbot of Kiyomizu-dera in 1914. He lived to be 108 years old. He eagerly promoted the social activities, a home for the aged or children. He continued to preach for the summer seminar for 68 years. Itfs well known that he had a profound knowledge of Zen. A priest with a talent for calligraphy, painting and Chinese poetry.
