Data: Pen name: Deibutsu-an. He took on heavy responsibilities within the sect and became the 207th chief abbot in 1980. He also practiced Zen under Seisetsu Genjo in Tenryu-ji monastery. He made thorough large repairs on Todai-ji. He was skilled at calligraphy and painting.
