Temple: The Obaku sect. Shorin-in, sub-temple in Obakusan Manpuku-ji. Shinko-in, Jin'on-ji, Kaiseki-an in Kyoto.
Data: Pen name: Shunan-sanjin, Kaiseki. Dharma transmission from Nanrei Genkun. He was a friend of Goshin Genmyo in the same Obaku sect since his childhood. He learned Chinese classics under Nankaku Hattori with Goshin. He was invited to be the abbot of Shorin-in, sub-temple of Obaku Manpuku-ji in 1761. He went to Edo (Tokyo) for fund raising to restore Shorin-in. He was dead at the age of 57before he returned . Kako Ito who is a famous calligrapher was his elder brother. He was on friendly intimate terms with Muzen Jozen, Monchu Jofuku, Baisa-ou in Obaku, Baiso Kenjo in Shokoku-ji and Ikeno Taiga.
