Data: Pen name: Banso-an. Dharma transmission from Takuju Kosen. He also practiced Zen under Gyo'ou Gensetsu in Ryotan-ji. Shon'ou Zen'etsu in Jikyu-an, Myoki Soseki in Renko-ji in Numazu and Kaizan Sokaku in Enpuku-ji. He was invited to be Zen master in Enpuku-ji in 1846 and remained here for 14 years. He was recommended to become the 505th chief abbot of Myoshin-ji in 1857. His Dharma heirs were Shuden Sobyo and Toei Sosen.
