Text: The joint Zen text by Daiki Genjo and Unsho Tomon. Painting of Mt. Fuji. It fills up limitlessly in the clouds. It is most scenic beauty in Japan. I am watiching with gtreat pleasure as if in a dream. It spreads a good omen at all time. Gokoku Chikusoshi (Daiki Genjo) *Painting of a willow. A willow offers great mercy. Winds sound vowing of liberation. This is the subtle mysterious power. We can establish the vow eternally. Mu'un donin (Unsho Tomon).

Temple: The Soto sect. The 23rd abbot of Kodai-ji, Nagasaki. The Soto sect. The 32th abbot of Zenkyu-in in Matsumoto, Nagano. The 22nd abbot of Tentoku-in in Kaga, Isikawa.

Data: Dharma transmission from Chigaku Daiko. He also practiced Zen under Genko in Zenkyu-in, Nagano and Hizen Katugei in Kesshin-ji. He became a abbot of Joju-ji in 1844. He was invited to be the 23rd Zen master of Kodai-ji in Nagasaki in 1851 and retired to the Hannyarin in the next year. Unsho Tomon (1792-1858) Zen. Soto. Pen name: Mu'un Donin. Dharma transmission from Koun Zuimyo in Soju-ji. He became the abbot of Zenkyu-in in 1832. He brought up many outstanding students like, Ekido, Daisatsu, Nyozen, Tokan and so on who were leaders in Soto Sect in later years. He was invited to be the 22nd abbot of Tentoku-in in 1846. He founded Enmei-ji in Aichi, Zensan-ji and Chosen-in. He was well-known as "Unlettered Tomon", meaning he didn't cling to letters or learning. He was, so to speak, a Zen master of concentration to sitting Zen.
