Data: Pen name: Shoin-ken. Dharma transmission from Shun'no Zen'etsu He became the abbot of Tenyu-ji, and he was then recommended to be the Zen master of Kokeizan Eiho-ji monastery, a post he held for several years. He retired to Shoin-ken which was a sub-temple in Myoshin-ji. In 1852, he was invited to Shogen-an in Hyogo by Taido Sokin who was a long term student of him.
