Temple: The Soto sect. The 23rd abbot of Kodai-ji, Nagasaki.
Data: Dharma transmission from Chigaku Daiko. He also practiced Zen under Genko in Zenkyu-in, Nagano and Hizen Katugei in Kesshin-ji. He became a abbot of Joju-ji in 1844. He was invited to be the 23rd Zen master of Kodai-ji in Nagasaki in 1851 and retired to the Hannyarin in the next year.
